A FEW WORDS ABOUT
WEBPAGE ADDRESSES
URL addresses like http://www.precisionprofiles.shawbiz.ca/ are like phone numbers. You enter one number wrong and you get a wrong number, sometimes someone (or some page) answers (displays). Sometimes you get a number (or page) that isn't in service (resulting in a 404 error Page not found webpage being displayed).
A 404 page is the Internet's answer to the "The number you have reached is not in service" message provided by the phone company. To reduce the number of wrong (or non-existant) pages you get, try to avoid actually typing an address in (especially long ones like the example above because more characters mean more chances for typing errors to occur).
Instead,
1. Just left-click and hold the button down on
the end of the address and move the cursor towards the beginning of the address
(be sure to get the http part as well).
2. Once you've got the address selected (all blue) release the left-button and
right-click on any of the selected text. left-click on Copy from the context
menu that appears.
3. Go to your browser, right-click in the Address window (in Microsoft Internet
Explorer) or Location window (in Netscape Navigator), select Paste from the
menu that appears.
4. Click Go (in Microsoft Internet Explorer) or Search (in Netscape Navigator).
